The 30th December. Let's be honest, it's up there with the January abyss as primetime fodder for a terrible idea for a night out. Even the fact this year it's nestled away on a Saturday can't do much more than entice out the hardcore to party, when New Year's Eve looms the day after. To put it simply, you need one heck of an event to pull it off.

Which is exactly what the bods at Motion will be doing. They'll be inviting Berghain resident Ben Klock to knock out four hours of his patent brand of relentless techno, with Detroit mainstay Seth Troxler on beforehand also for four hours. That's eight hours of two premier league selectors and no-one else, 480 minutes of supreme sonic goodness.
