Review of Headland
An amazing atmosphere at a super friendly festival in its first year. The positives far outweigh any of the little negatives.
Positives: The venue... WOW. An eclectic arrangement of musical styles, with smooth handover of different artists resulting in constant music from start to finish. An excellent supply of beers and ciders, and the encouragement to try a variety of different ales in 1/3 pint measures. The food vendors ideal, all 'home' made, excellent selection of savoury and sweet (homemade icecream) and the beetroot breadrolls yummy x Seating comprising of comfy sofas, benches and straw bales perfect. And the children were extremely well catered for, a giant bouncy castle style slide, giant straw bales and hula hoops. Along with lessons in hula hooping and Parkour. The campsite was beautiful, plenty of space and drinking water available. AND FREE... Cars were allowed next to tents ( with 4 children a massive help as we have so much stuff!)
Negatives; The toilets were only cleaned once a day, they needed to be either cleaned more often or more provided (but as festival tickets were so cheap and camping was free it was acceptable),and it didn't help that the caravans and motor homes were emptying their disposal units into the festival portal loos! Lighting wasn't brilliant on first night but this was addressed on the second night, perhaps a little more light in the toilet areas. Lack of programme information, a blackboard was provided next to the stage marquee for band line-ups and times (also on-line), but additional signs at the entrance to the festival field would have been helpful. The only other thing really was smoking near the stages. But overall a fantastic relaxing weekend with 4 children. Highly recommended

Amazing first festival, huge respect to all those involved and working on this. Brilliant vibe and family friendly. Low cost for what you get. Will be attending again, possibly one of the best views you'll ever get at a small festival.

Need more toilets only 3 provided. Caravans were emptying their waste in them and they werent getting cleaned untill late on in the day. Unacceptable.
Better lighting especially near toilets and bouncy castle.
Stage needs to be more noticable. Open and able to see the band. People will be more willing to stay in main arena
Programme for kids entertainment.
More food venues (different choices of food ie pizza, noodle bar).
Prosecco van only came 1 night very dissapointing as was looking forward to trying it on the sat.
Very relaxing and friendly atmosphere child and dog friendly. Very cost effective.
Bands very enjoyable to listen to all day ( apart from punk on friday night). Really enjoyed myself apart from few teething issues which im sure will be rectified will definetly come back next yr
