Fabulous afternoon, food and drink good but a little overpriced. Entertainment was fantastic, live music from the Super Skas was just fabulous.......looking forward to next year!

I loved the plastic cup that wasn't plastic that I had a beer in and all the card board containers for food. Great for the environment.
Drink very reasonably priced.
Easy to get too.
Staff good at cleaning the tables.

The environment and atmosphere was quite conducive. Apart from the prices of the food which was too high for the portions. Guess l being new to this l was hoping to try different cuisines at reasonable prices under one 'roof' so to say. But such is life! Enjoyed the music .

Last year live music was good, this year a big let down. Makka B could’ve been really good but not interested in hearing reggae songs constantly about food & healthy eating. Ed Sheehan eillusion was a disappointment you couldn’t here him most of the time. Condition of porta loos was poor, toilet paper not filled up, flushing fluid not filled up hand dispensers not filled up. Very poor when that’s the only form of sanitisation . No access to porta loos from stage area .

This event was shockingly unenjoyable, compared to last year. Granted the weather was awful, but the security staff were rude on entry. There were no shaded areas to stand and eat the food we purchased. Once we had found an area, we were told we couldnt stand there, due to there being a lot of wires. I understood this but there had been about 10 other people standing there, that were not asked to move. I really didnt enjoy this experience, compared to last year. Which is annoying, as I had family travel a fair distance to attend this years.

Better than last year, me and the kids went and they really enjoy it, they watched the film while it’s raining. Shame the weather is not hot but we manage. The Foods delicious but The Grill Brazil l would recommend it. I will go again this is my second visit. People seem to be enjoy it too.

Slightly fewer stalls than previous years but still a good choice of food and drinks. Didn’t notice any caterers selling coffee. Good music by Macka B. Fili Pino belly pork was delicious!

The choices of food was fantastic, 3 dedicated vegan vendors plus many of the other vendors offered a vegan choice.
Loads of seating, though absolutely non of which had any kind of cover to provide shelter from rain or sun, not even in the "family area" which had zero atmosphere.

The event was really good considering the poor weather. Prices are a tad expensive, family area is quite far away from all of the food stalls. However we had a great time and we'll definitely be back next uear!

can i suggest a better attitude to disabled people. my husband using 2 walking sticks was made to walk up 3 flights of steps, through the church gardens and then down 3 flights of steps. it made him so ill I had to fetch his wheelchair. There was a ramp he could have used which was nearer to the disabled parking area. And then they gave in to another customer and let him take a short cut. when I queried this I was told that it was just a one off. jobsworts all round I am afraid.

Perhaps charge a little more to get in but then everything inside the venue should be unpriced. Food outlets could use the venue to promote their products instead of ripping off customers. The first drink at the bar should also be free with a token provided with one's ticket. Activities for kids were virtually non-existant and those available were costly.

We enjoyed the event and want to see more like it. That said we did not understand how tickets could be got free or for £2 online but people to pay £5 to enter on the day. We understand there are costs for hosting, but surely this would discourage passersby and families from attending? If there is a need to charge this much could it be part redeemable at the vendors? We want encourage events like this to be inclusive and successful so it'll trigger more events like this in the future as it was great to see it in Wolverhampton.

Review of Wolverhampton Food & Drink Festival
First time I’ve attended this festival and I thought it was really good. Lots of choices of vendors for food and drink and an opportunity to try different things. I think the family section maybe could’ve have a few more things in that section as there didn’t seem to be enough to keep them entertained however the open cinema section was a really nice touch. I have to say a lot of people I knew didn’t know about this event happening so maybe marketing and advertising may need to thought through for next time. Tickets in advance was a great however £5 on the door seemed quite steep for people we invited to come with us. However the venue was kept clean and tidy throughout. Thank you for a lovely day

Didn't start on time, no wristbands, usual Council mess. Friendly stallholders in the main, better to have it free in Dudley Street. Compares unfavourably with Abergavenny Food Festival.

considering you have decide to charge- a £1.00 is good but £5.00 on the gate is rediculous with ppl with children, or disabled folks; I had two tickets which the person couldn't come out due to weather and kids under the weather, yet I wasn't able to use on the sunday how rediculous again!! it not the money the principle of it!! just saying... also could you keep me informed on my personal number email address, jollettebarnett888@hotmail.com

Review of Wolverhampton Food & Drink Festival
Last year's event seemed to be more of a mix of people, friendlier atmosphere, not just groups out to get drunk and be loud and foul mouthed/explicit language use. Such a shame when you are bringing a child to the event. Also, needs to be some planning alongside the University, who were also running an event. Would it not be possible for those also attending the University event, to be able to exit via the Ambika Paul building steps and then have their tickets scanned at an entrance or by supervisors there? We had to navigate a route back onto Stafford Street when leaving Sci-fest, then walk around up again via Wulfruna Street to gain access. Not much thought given to coinciding events and access routes for people attending both (and with families).

Shame charges introduced. would think want people to come in and spend on the stalls. Only purchased tickets this year as people planned to go but from initial posters nothing was started about chrges etc so when free tickets was available you would not think to look till closer event then when come to book tickets find out about the charges. Even worse £5 on door just fleecing people. Also no published event schedule in advance on website so could choose day till late then only being put on facebook. Enjoyed better junction festival down road in chapel ash which was on same weekend . saw varied good ent all free entry . bar reasonably priced and food reasonably priced at royal Oak BBQ.

What a lovely surprise! Wolverhampton is wery trendy. I counted four international food stalls: Ugandan, Mauritian, Indian Punjabi, Caribbean, Good vegan selection of vendors and no apologies about meat - lots of honest meat stalls too. I loved the leafy university setting. the portaloos could have done with TLC. Flavoursome whiling away of a hot, Sunday afternoon.

Not enough to keep you there very long. Plenty of eating places Ln nearby streets without paying to get in before paying top prices for your food. Needs something else to keep you there.
