The Black Bottle Winchester

The Black Bottle: where new and familiar red, white and rose wines are bought to your fingertips by the glass. Served through the internationally celebrated Enomatic wine dispensing system, a selection of 32 of our 120 strong bottle cellar are dispensed through our Enomatic dispensers. Each of our four machines hold 8 bottles with two machines dedicated exclusively to red and white varieties. This means that at any one time we have a selection of 16 reds, 12 whites and 4 roses to sample by the glass. Our machines are individually programmed to serve our specific varieties of wine at an optimum temperature. An ambient room temperature for reds and at a lower chilled setting for whites and roses allowing all of our wines to express their flavours fully.
So, how does it all work Upon entering the bar you will be offered one of our unique Black Bottle Wine Dispensing Cards. The card is free, our gift to you, and is immediately available to charge with the funds required to sample, drink or occasionally knock back as much wine you see fit. Once you have loaded a card you will able to access all of the machines in the bar. Simply insert the card into the machine, grab a glass and choose you measure. On the machine’s touch screens will be displayed the option of serving yourself a glass in 3 sizes: the 25 ml. taster glass, 125 ml. small glass and the 175 ml. large glass. Whether a seasoned wine drinker or someone who just wants to learn a bit about wine our cellar will have something for you. Come in with a few friends and sample a few wines before diner alternately if you want to sit down with a good book and a glass of one of your favourites The Black Bottle is also the perfect place to spend a cold and dreary afternoon.
