FNL: The Violets | DDE's | Della Noirs | Polar Tide | Craig Lawl on Friday 16th November 2018
Original live music returns to the Grand Vault.
On the bill...
The Violets: A rock, pop and indie infused quartet from Greater Manchester. With a drive for creating ear-worming, original tracks to make any crowd move, they fuse a 60's style with modern day rock and their unstoppable enthusiasm is brought to every gig.
DDE’s: a 4-piece indie brit-pop band from Manchester, UK. Taking influence from 90's icons and modern-day indie rock.
Della Noirs: Wigan 4 piece alt rock band. Influences include Drenge, Brian Jonestown Massacre, The Wytches, and Kings of Leon.
Polar Tide: a groovy/high energy 4 piece band from the North West making sweet alt-jazz tunes.
Craig Lawlor: signed to Sound-Hub Records in early 2014, Craig’s received national airplay as well as enjoying support from local BBC Introducing presenters, his motivation for pursuing a solo career was largely influenced by his love of Bob Dylan. His musical inspiration comes from American and English blues and folk music as well as The Smiths, Belle and Sebastian and The La’s. Combining a variety of genres, his insightful and poetic lyrics sit on top of driving, upbeat acoustic guitar rhythms often accompanied by his harmonica playing.
