Review of New Year\'s Eve Comedy and Party

The comedy aspect of the night was a good laugh, the majority of acts were very funny, some were quite a specific style of humour. We were given a table for 2, close to the stage, both facing it, which gave us a great view! The drinks on offer were tasty and reasonably priced, including wine, beer, cider and some *****tails that we'd never heard of before (can thoroughly recommend the amusingly named 'Mangoes into a Bar!). The only downside to the evening was the lack of information regarding food. We arrived at the venue around 19:30, got a table quite easily, the waitor told us we could order food and drink at the bar. Upon ordering at the bar, the staff informed me I should order food at my table, so I ordered the drinks and went back to sit down. After no one came over for several minutes, I went to ask the staff welcoming new guests (by which point it was nearing 20:00) who regretfully informed me the kitchen had closed. The bar didn't even sell snacks such as crisps or nuts, so this did put a bit of a damper on our evening. Luckily the entertainment mostly made up for it. Finally the route to the toilets was very chilly, so perhaps could do with some heating.
