Nile Marr + Acid Child on Friday 5th July 2019
Having toured the world with Hans Zimmer’s live band for over a year, Nile Marr returned to his hometown of Manchester to work on his new album. The guitarist, singer and songwriter, son of legendary Smiths guitarist, Johnny Marr, grew up in Manchester but also spent time in Portland, Oregon, after his family moved there when he was in his mid-teens.
Having been brought up on the likes of Modest Mouse, Talking Heads and Broken Social Scene, Nile’s influences were there for all to see on his critically acclaimed debut album ‘TV Broke My Brain’. Released under the name Man Made in April 2016, Nile and his band spent a year on tour transforming themselves into an accomplished live force.
Now Nile is preparing to release his second album, and is currently debuting material as part of a six-week residency at Manchester's legendary Night & Day Cafe. We are very excited to have him headline LiveBar this July.
Support comes from Acid Child.
