Review of CERTIFIED DNB HALLOWEEN SPECIAL

I always go out on Halloween weekend as I consider it the most important night out of the year even above New Years Eve. I had not been to this venue before this visit. No doormen when I went in (early.) although they were shown round by what appeared to be the manager a bit later. The music was very good D and B with both old school and baseline flavours and on a decent sound system. Bizarrely, I appeared to be the only one there not associated with management/DJs until well into the second half of the night when 4 more punters arrived possibly taking its custom to 5 all night as I doubt anyone else came in after I left. At least people to interact with although I am baffled why, despite flyers advertising the event and the event being on Skiddle it was so incredibly quiet on what is supposedly the biggest party weekend of the year. It had been very rainy most of the day but dry from late afternoon, did that put people off? Decent night out but part of it is actually having people on the dance floor, this was lacking here with such low numbers, making it almost feel like a private event put on for me! The DJs deserve a bigger venue and being local I suggest they try playing at zone of Digbeths venues as Walsall has let them down numbers wise.
