Enjoy carols at home and support people with cancer at the Maggi on Sunday 12th December 2021

If you’re looking for a way to enjoy Christmas carols from the comfort of your own home, whilst also helping to support people with cancer, check out cancer support charity, Maggie's annual Carol Concert, which will be broadcast online for free on 12th December at 6pm.

The concert will be presented by national treasure, newsreader, Fiona Bruce and include readings by stars including chef and TV personality Prue Leith, actor James Norton, author William Boyd and actor, broadcaster, writer and former politician Gyles Brandreth.

There will also be performances by opera singer Nicky Spence, award winning Welsh soprano Rhian Lois and 2013 Gramophone Artist of the Year, three-time winner at the Classic BRITs and also three-time winner at the Echo Klassik Awards, trumpeter Alison Balsom OBE.

The broadcast of Maggie’s sell-out in person event at The Royal Hospital, Chelsea will be available to watch online for free at https://maggiesxmas.eventbrite.co.uk thanks to sponsors, Alvarium Investments, Clipfine and Sir Robert McAlpine. So, switch on the Christmas lights, cosy up on the sofa and enjoy carols, performances and readings from top celebrities to get you into the Christmas spirit.

Maggie’s has 25 years of experience and expertise providing free cancer support and information in centres across the UK. Built in the grounds of NHS cancer hospitals, the centres are warm and welcoming, and are run by expert staff who help people live well with cancer.

The centres provide a breathing space away from the hospital where a person living with cancer can meet people who understand what they’re going through, or just take a moment to gather their thoughts.

Tickets are free but donations to the charity are encouraged. There is also an online prize draw which you can enter here: https://maggiesxmas.eventbrite.co.uk.
