Back from the Blue - with Morcheeba on Friday 7th May 2021

'The waves awoke emotive emotions
Whilst resisting this urge to
Breathe as I'm swimming down
Free when I'm sinking down...'

Following on from the success of Phoenix from the Flames, The Old Market is proud to present Back From The Blue, a brand new one-off livestream event. This event is part of our Reigning Women programme, celebrating kick-ass women working in our industry.

We are thrilled to announce that the event will be headlined by Morcheeba, who will be performing four tracks, including some from their latest album, Blackest Blue, which will be performed live for the very first time. The performance will mark their triumphant return to The Old Market, following their sell-out show in late 2019.

The evening will also include performances by soul singer Kymara and rapper Bobbie Johnson, as well as poetry from Rosy Carrick. Avant-folk melodies come courtesy of Kate Daisy Grant and Nick Pynn, plus there will be brand new routines performed by members of the cast of the hit show STOMP.

A portion of the sales from this stream will be donated to RISE, a Sussex-based charity that supports people affected by domestic abuse and violence. To find out more about the charity, click here.

This event has a 'suggested ticket price' structure. Tickets cost just £7.50, but if you can afford to pay a bit more, we’ve suggested some higher price options for you. Giving us a little more will really help us out during this difficult time and help us get back on our feet. Plus, if you can pay more, we’ll be able to offer tickets to those who cannot afford to pay at this time. It’s a policy based on soundness, and we know you’re a sound bunch.

Music Genres:

Electronic, Folk, Rap, Soul, Spoken Word
