jazz violin and piano at cafe yukari on Sunday 10th February 2019
The feisty jazz violinist Chinara Sharshenova was born in Kyrgyzstan while it was part of the Soviet Union. Her prodigious talent earned her a place in the Moscow Conservatoire. Fascinated by jazz she received a scholarship to study in the USA at the Berklee School. This unique cafe by Key Gardens station is run by piano devotee Yukari who has installed a Fazioli grand piano, Italy’s answer to Steinway. The cafe which opened this year is directly opposite the eastern exit of Key Gardens station. It seats 25. Interestingly, no amplification is allowed . Food is available including Japanese dishes. If you would like wine you have to bring your own. Convieniently there is an off licence opposite.
Music Genres: Jazz
