The Best of Chet on Friday 19th July 2019

Chet Baker produced some of his finest work in the last ten years of his life including small combo recordings with pianists Paul Bley and Harold Danko and bass players Ron Carter and Hein Van de Geyn.

Caroline Cooper and Geoff Varrall, founder members of the Retro Chet Collective are joined by Paul Michael on double bass to recreate a 1985 session recording with Paul Bley (Diane) and a 1987 recording of Chet Baker's last concert in Tokyo (recorded on the album Chet Baker in Tokyo).
