Film: The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018) on Saturday 9th March 2019
Set in 1946, the plot follows a London-based writer who begins exchanging letters with residents on the island of Guernsey, which was under German occupation during World War II.
Lily James plays free-spirited journalist Juliet Ashton, who forms a life-changing bond with the delightful and eccentric Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, when she decides to write about the book club they formed during the occupation of Guernsey in WWII.
Sunnyside Community Hall in Rusthall Road TN4 8RA will be screening this film after a scene setting short film and before a discussion group. Come soon after 7pm with £5 in hand.
