Teignmouth United Reformed Church

The Teignmouth Classical Festival takes place in this beautiful church built in 1790. It is a venue used widely by the community so there is no better place to have performances for the local festival. The aim of the Classical Music Festival is fivefold: 1. to bring classical music to varied audiences at affordable prices 2. to encourage participation both from professional and amateur musicians 3. to be fully inclusive, particularly in terms of the age range of performers, so that old and young can make and enjoy music together in an atmosphere of mutual respect 4. to draw on local talent 5. to commission and or facilitate the performance of new work. Not only does classical music have a rich and varied history, it is also a vibrant and contemporary art form.
