ALAN WORMALD with Dave Cottle Trio

Alan Wormald has been the guitarist with SHAKATAK since 1995

Alan is originally from Leeds but now lives near Nottingham. 

He has playing guitar since a very young age and used to sit and work out the guitar parts for all The Beatles songs that he could get his hands on either by listening on radio or on LP’s,  Ultimately this contributed in setting him up to be an accomplished guitarist.

Over the years he worked with people such as Freddy Starr, Cannon & Ball and Shakatak , in the studio and live performance. 

He is still touring to this day with Shakatak and has been a member of the bandsince 1995 and still going strong mainly playing gigs in countries all over the world. (Which is great way to see the world and get paid at the same time!)

Musical influences range from The Beatles, Cream, Alan Holdsworth, Jimmi Hendrix and anything that just sounds cool. So we can expect a diverse and mixed set of music and maybe some SHakatak tunes too at Swansea Jazz Club!
