Funhouse Comedy brings another great night of laughter to Ipstones Memorial Hall, on Friday October 4th.
Topping the bill is the compelling and frank comedian and writer, Daliso Chaponda who came 3rd in 'Britain's Got Talent' in 2017 and then landed himself his own stand-up comedy show on BBC Radio 4. Hailing from Malawi, where his father is a government minister, he started his comedy career in Canada with the much-admired one man show 'Feed This Black Man'. With his ability to talk about anything from politics and religion to romance, he amuses his audiences with his distinctive accent and unique outlook on the world.
Opening the night will be co-star of the 'The ParaPod Movie' and winner of Best MC, Midlands Comedy Awards four years running, the appealing and perceptive Barry Dodds. He has supported Jason Manford, John Bishop, Tape Face and Pete Firman on tour, as well as being Chortle Awards 2016 Nominee, Best Internet for 'The Parapod' Podcast, with Ray Peacock. He captivates the crowd with his energy, spirit and tantalizing wit. His mix of surprisingly uncanny and irrepressibly cheeky material never fails to fascinate them.
Completing the line-up is the incredibly funny cutlery sage Ian Crawford, with his unique safety advice.
Compere for the night will be amiable and amusing Dave Bryon.
