Nestled in the picturesque Cheshire countryside, Blackthorn Music Festival is a true celebration of city culture and rural produce. Manchester is responsible for creating and supporting some of the best music ever made, and the surrounding areas have produced some of the tastiest, highest quality food and drink available.
If you come to Blackthorn, be assured that you will experience the best of the city along with the best of the countryside. We’ve also done our best to remove the bad bits, so no traffic and no cow poo – when Karl’s Aberdeen Angus cows move out the campers move in!
Blackthorn originally began life as a massive party to celebrate Laura Hancock going away to uni. Looking happily around the area, Karl realised that he could combine his love of music and food to create Manchester’s first credible music festival with camping.
As well as top music, there will also be a variety of other arts showcased at Blackthorn. Dedicated areas for, live art, acoustic acts and spontaneous live art installations appear throughout the festival, so if you go for a wander away from the main stage you never know what you might come across.
Music will start from 6pm on Friday / Saturday and Sunday from midday.
Campers can arrive Thursday 4pm -10pm pre arranged, Friday 2.30pm – 9.30pm and Saturday 11am-5pm only. All campers must leave the site by midday Monday.
