A Charity Concert with the Fron Male Voice Choir and Nigel Ogden on Saturday 6th April 2019
Join the Fron Male Voice Choir & Nigel Ogden in Charity Concert in aid of The Motor Neuron Disease Association and Parkinson's UK.
The Fron (Pronounced Vron in English) are one of the finest male voice choirs in the UK. On the concert stage this Welsh choir has built a reputation as an unforgettable live choir. They have over 50 voices coming together to make extraordinary music. They have been moving people for over 70 years with their balance of classical, sacred, and modern music including choral arrangements of pop classics.
They are joined tonight by organist Nigel Ogden who will be playing the Ballroom's fabulous Wurlitzer organ. Nigel started playing the organ when he was 12, his father was a church organist, so he says he had plenty of opportunity to discover the instrument for himself.
In 1972 he started presenting 'The Organist Entertains'; a programme on which he'd featured many times as a player. Nigel presented the programme on BBC 2 for 42 years.
