Art Battle Manchester XXII - Party In The (car) Park

We're 10 years old so we are having a party. A party in a park. A carpark. We love an unconventional venue, so it is only fitting that we host our party in a brutalist 1960's concrete multi-storey carpark. We'll be joined by some of Stockport's finest independent traders, serving a vast array of food and drink, in what promises to be a spectacular showcase event for Stockport, the reigning Town of Culture.

A capacity crowd will watch a spectacle of painters, illustrators, tattooists and street artists go head-to-head in what has been described at the city’s most energetic art event. With only 30 minutes to create a masterpiece, the audience decides the winner of each round and - ultimately – the artist who will be crowned Champion.

Since it started in 2013, Art Battle Manchester has delivered over 20 sold-out events, never using the same venue twice. They clearly have a penchant for bringing the off-beat lively event to landmark buildings, as recent venues include New Century, London Road Fire Station, Albert Hall, The Royal Exchange, Debenhams, Victoria Baths and an array of historic mills and warehouses.

In addition to art, DJs, music, food and drink, expect some unexpected shenanigans...
