Big Comedy the people behind The Southport Comedy Festival will once again will be joining forces with The Bold Hotel to bring you an evening of great live comedy featuring T.V comedians and the best of Stand Up from the UK comedy circuit.

This show Features award winning Comedy Illusionist Martyn James and Rahul Kohli ‘ rising star of Political Comedy’ – Andy Zaltsman, The Bugle, plus Host Brendan Riley 'born compere' The Guardian

Doors 7:30pm, Show 8:30pm

Martyn James

Martyn is one of the most popular acts on the entertainment circuit today. For the past twelve years he has toured the UK performing his award winning illusion show.

More recently Martyn has been working the international market in hotels and on cruise ships with his unique brand of stand up comedy. His original style has won him many awards such as the British Magical Grand Prix in 2003, and in 2009 he was voted best speciality act by 'Venue Magazine'.

Rahul Kohli

Rahul Kohli is one of the fastest rising act on the circuit. A young geordie asian man combining fierce political satire with surreal storytelling, in just a few short years, his debut solo show: Newcastle Brown Male gained critical acclaim at the 2016 Edinburgh Fringe Festival earning him a top pick of both BBC Radio 4 and the Huffington Post. It also gained him radio credits for BBC Radio 4's State of the Nation and BBC Asia Networks Big Asian Comedy Night. On top of this he has gained writing credits for other Radio 4 Shows while performing at some of the biggest clubs around the country from the Stand up North to the Comedy Store down south. In January 2017, Rahul became an award-winning comedian winning the prestigious NATYS, formerly the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year Award.’
