Welcome nature lovers, wild foragers, seekers of herbal medicine and wild food finders to this wonderful day of foraging therapy.
Set on a stunningly beautiful farm surrounded by wildlife and biodiversity rich havens of wild flowers, healing herbs and natural native herbal medicines. Perfect for a spring time walk to forage and learn about our native healing plants and herbs.

Headed and hosted by three of the best people you will meet ~

Carl Ryan ~ S,A,S ( Sams survival School )
Carl has been studying the wild world of herbs and survival skills for over 13 years and has extensive knowledge of wild food, natural healing herbs, the uses and how to prepare them safely in the wild.

Andy Huxter ~ Punk horticulturalist
Andy has worked landscapes, Permaculture farms, Land management projects and studied horticulture at Writtle college for three years, leaving with a brain full of wild flower knowledge.

Nick The wood Butcher ~
Nick is a master wood carver with a chainsaw, an Axe, carving knives and whittling. Nick brings a wealth of interesting knowledge of trees and the various different types of woods growing native all over the UK.

The day will start with an introduction of what to expect to find on the tour and the programme for the day.

~ WHAT TO BRING ~
Protective clothing and footwear.
Packed lunch.
A notepad and pen.
Camera.

~ WHAT WE WILL LEARN ~
5 Native species of edibles plants or herbs.
Stinging nettles,
Plantain,
Dandelion,
~Others to find on the day.

Identification of each plant specie
How to pick, prepare, cook or store them.
The many uses each different one has.
The medicinal properties and how to make remedies.

After the tour is over and everyone is up to scratch with all that has been shown we will take rest at the farm and make some tea form the forage over an open fire where we can share thoughts of the day and drink the fruits of the labour.
Giving thanks to mother earth every time.
A gift bag for herb collection and a stainless steel drinking cup is included in the ticket price.
Please arrive with plenty of time to spare.
