The National Drum & Bass Awards 2020 on Saturday 28th March 2020
The Drum & Bass awards we’re launched in 2006 in Birmingham and started out a club level.Over the years the awards event has grown in size and magnitude the initial mission was to acknowledge all those who have dedicated their lives to Drum & Bass culture and also to fly the flag high and to attract as much media accolade as possible.The awards has been written about in the Sun newspaper ,The mirror,The Guardian , Time-out,featured on MTV , channel 4, Flava Tv ,Aka ,Central News,has been broadcast on Radio One & 1xtra featured on Kiss100,Rinse and Kool fm.
The Artists play a big role in the awards from every corner of the scene representing the many styles the genre brings from Chase & Status ,Andy C,to Marky ,Technical Itch no stones have been left unturned in terms of Talent representation.And now in the 15th year we touchdown on the coast and head to Southampton a city which has a rich DNB scene so vast and colourful and an audience second to non the Awards event is an event that needs to take place throughout the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.This year in 2019 sees us launch the Drum & Bass awards U.S.A in Los Angeles.
The events humble beginnings at Air nightclub to the monstrous 5/6000 capacity shows in Digbeth at the Custard Factory and the Rainbow venues to the recent Donnington park awards in 2017 and Starworks Warehouse In 2018
The 2020 Awards at Switch in Southampton will sell out and will cement what the awards is all about which is to shine a light on the scenes makers and hard workers and to the various parts of the country where the spotlight is deserved and Southampton right now is up there as the place to be.
