Andrew O’Neill on Wednesday 3rd November 2021

We are super excited to announce our next Comedy night will be headlined by award winning occult comedian Andrew O'Neill

In support we will also have sets from Sandi Smith & James Ellis

ANDREW O’NEILL

Andrew O'Neill is an award-winning stand-up comedian, musician and writer. Andrew is known for writing the book A History Of Heavy Metal, described by living legend Alan Moore as 'A loud and thoroughly engrossing love-story.' As seen on the BBC and a whole host of other TV channels. Andrew is also known for their own award winning show on Radio 4, Pharmacist Baffler. Andrew is a founder member of the Victorian-obsessed punk band The Men That Will Not Be Blamed For Nothing, whose distinctive anachro-punk has a cult following. O'Neill has written and toured a shit-tonne of critically-acclaimed solo comedy shows, including Occult Comedian, Winston Churchill Was Jack The Ripper, MINDSPIDERS, Alternative, Andrew O'Neill is Easily Distracted and the current Andrew O'Neill's Black Magick Fun Hour. Andrew O'Neill is an incredibly unique individual and not one to be missed.

As main support we also have the fantastic Sandi Smith on stage.

Sandi tells her stories with ascerbic wit whilst managing to maintain a warm connection with her audiences. She's a semi finalist for Funny Women and shortlisted for the BBC New Comedy Awards.

She must be seen to be appreciated.

“Sandi is a breath of fresh air to stand up comedy, she's very very funny” Patrick Monahan

“Very good indeed. Great material and audiences love her.” Nick Page

Opening the show we have fast rising James Ellis

James was born and bred in Crawley. Yet somehow, he manages to remain upbeat. Writer for the Double Chortle Award winning night “GOAT Comedy”, and BBC’s “Newsjack” – he is being marked out as one to watch.

“James Ellis is a triple threat, he’s really very bloody funny, has a great stage presence and has the best hair in the business” - Angela Barnes

“A frightening amount of brilliant punchlines, delivered by a genuinely funny guy. I was laughing the whole time James was on and so was everyone else. Top stuff” - Paul McCaffrey

“Wonderful, wonderful jokes. James has a relaxed confidence, his set is well themed and thought out and most important of all: the gags are just funny. Really funny.” - Laura Lexx

The evening will be hosted once again by Sunjai Arif

Sunjai Arif is an act who can quickly win over any audience with his warm personality and keep them engaged with comedy story-telling, neat turns of phrases and exciting set-pieces.

Winner 'Bath Comedy Festival New Act of the year'

Finalist “Max Turner prize”

As seen on BBC Three.
