Sheffield Community Choir is one of the best known and most well-loved gospel choirs in Yorkshire.
Founded in 2013 by Janine Dyer, this vibrant community choir has gone from strength to strength - reaching prominence as one of the country's finest amateur choirs in the BBC Songs of Praise Gospel Choir of the Year 2016 contest. This year the choir was invited to perform with Take That on the Yorkshire dates of their Greatest Hits tour, sharing the stage with the one and only Lulu!
Choir founder and Director Janine Dyer is an internationally-renowned, MOBO and UMA-award winning gospel artist.
Janine may be familiar to fans of TV's The Voice UK 2016 as a contestant. As a member of the multi-award winning UK Gospel Group ‘Raymond & Co’ (Mobo Awards and two Urban Music Awards, and countless others) Janine travelled and shared the stage with leading gospel artists such as Kirk Franklin and Kim Burrell. She is a sought-after and versatile performer and collaborator, well known in the house and garage scene as a vocalist - as well as being in demand to bless all manner of events with her sublime vocal talent.
JUST ANNOUNCED: Special guest Aaron Casserly Stewart - outstanding vocalist, formerly with groundbreaking, Grammy Award-winning ensemble Sounds of Blackness - will be appearing at A Gospel Christmas 2019!
