Festival Preview All-Dayer
Funhouse Comedy brings an outstanding day of comedy to the covered beer garden stage at The New Barrack Tavern, Sheffield on Sunday July 2nd with its Edinburgh Festival Preview All-Dayer.
2.00pm - Hudson and Hudson - Married at First Sleight
What happens when two magicians get married? Is life full of magic surprises or do they still have petty arguments over who's taking the bins out? Can you ever relax when your partner is constantly playing tricks on you in the middle of a boxset? Alan and Kat Hudson from Britain's Got Talent, winner of Penn and Teller: Fool Us and star of West End's Wonderville, join forces for the first time as a double act in a magic comedy show that could lead them to fame and fortune. Or divorce.
3.25pm - James Cook - Anonymously Viral
James has been posting on social media for 15 years hoping that something would go viral. Then it did. So what happens when a tweet blows up and the worst people in the world start replying?
4.50pm - Aaron Simmonds - Baby Steps
Aaron has been doing stand-up comedy without standing up for eight years now, and it's time for that to change! So he's attempting to do something he's never done before... Stand-up comedy, standing up.
6.15pm - Matt Price - As Seen on CCTV
A hilarious and life-affirming story about how one free session with a life coach and a death threat changed Matt Price's perspective on everything. The death threat wasn't from the life coach as that would be bad for business. But it was caught on CCTV. In this journey, Matt tells you why he's happy to have finally walked away from his obsession with crime and he will make you laugh a lot as he does it.
7.30pm - Jay Handley - The White Jesus Chronicles
Jay Handley performs an hour of material cherry-picked from his last three shows in a deft response to being creatively bereft. 'Can go toe-to-toe with the best stand-up I've seen'.
8.45pm - Harry Stachini - Grenade
Most of us are carrying honesty grenades. Some are small, like farting in a lift and owning up to it. But some are f*cking massive, mate. Mine was medium to large and once I’d pulled the pin, it destroyed an eight-year relationship, a mortgage and a blue whippet (I never farted in a lift but God do I miss the dog). Harry Stachini serves up an hour of relatable, honest and hilarious stand-up.
