Overall it was good, there was kids activities and rides although I think maybe another activity/ride would have been good because my kids did start to get bored as they had gone on everything . Prices for hot drinks was reasonable, not sure about alcoholic ones as we didn't have any.

My eldest enjoyed the fireworks, but I had to take my 4 year old inside as it was too loud for him outside.

But for me there was a problem with sound. The music itself was fine, aimed at kids so that was OK but the volume was ridiculous. I have been to rock concerts including seeing Motorhead and I honestly thought the sound levels were way too high for what was kids event. Children were asked to go down the front to play games/dance etc to win sweets. Mine did not want too because of the volume and even if they had I wouldn't have sent them. If I had known how loud it was going to be I would have brought ear protectors.

They did enjoy the Michael Jackson impersonator (MJ Raw I believe) but we stood further back where the sound was still loud but not as bad.

Overall good but the volume levels have put me off taking the children next year.

Food and toys from stall holders were really expensive but ticket price was great and drinks prices inside were good too. Would deffinately go again

At the time of booking was not informed this was outdoor so this automatically put a downer on it as we didn’t come prepared.

Very well organised event. Lovely venue. A little draughty in main room. Staff worked extremely hard and buffet food was fantastic and well worth the price. Also staff were helpful and accommodating, I fancied a warm drink and was told to purchase this from the staff room drinks machine. Alcoholic drinks very reasonable. A nice touch would have been a glass of bucks fizz or prosecco on arrival. Fabulous entertainment for the kids would have liked DJ to have included them more with games and some party games aimed at kids would have been nice. Accommodated just the right numbers any more people would have been too many. Will definitely be booking again for next year. Fantastic fireworks as always at The Old Rectory all in all a very lovely friendly venue to bring in the New year with loved ones thank you to all who made it happen.

We enjoyed the new year party and the food was nice, there was plenty of choice. The music was good at the start of the evening but later on it changed and I didn't like dancing to it. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The fireworks were good as well

Really enjoyed New Year’s Eve at old rectory , excellent value for money, games for the family were fun, the games room for kids was a brill idea, food was lovely and it was a nice atmosphere, the only bad point was it was really cold when we arrived and for the elderly that was with us it was quite unpleasant I appreciate it did warm up but it would have been better to walk into a warm room, having said that the staff were all friendly and I would return 😊 also the bar prices and the early bird discount was fab!

Thought the venue was lovely but very cold where we were sat. Dance floor needed to be bigger. The buffet was great with a wide variety of food. DJ was good but not loud enough for some of us. Rooms were great for children to play in but the bouncy castle really needed adult supervision at all times, even though it did state children should be supervised , as a lot of little children kept getting kicked and knocked over. Our children loved the rooms. Adult games were a lot of fun and we thoroughly enjoyed them. Fireworks were amazing! Would recommend especially for the money and the drink prices were good too which we didn’t expect. Thank you to all the staff for an enjoyable evening you all worked so hard.
