About

Having built a strong reputation as an immersive and genre-defying live act across the Midlands and beyond, Purple Hat Mob have garnered a dedicated following among fans of electronic and post-rock.

After releasing their new single ‘Too Far’, on Nottingham’s esteemed Running Circle Records in February, the band are now set for their first run of dates in just under a year - bolstered by a catalogue of new songs, a new setup, and the introduction of one of Sheffield’s finest jazz drummers: George Lloyd.

In a set of glitchy and hypnotic beats, dubby bass lines, ambient soundscapes and heady riffs over wonky time signatures; PHM bring their new sound to Sheffield once again.

Support comes from Vera Sacra, electronic music producer, cellist and vocalist. Expect sonic soundscapes with underlying currents of techno.
