Sharrow Festival takes over Hagglers Corner for one massive night of music, dancing and Sheffield energy - all to raise funds for Sharrow Festival 2026!
Expect two rooms of DJs bringing the vibes across house, funk, reggae, disco, DnB and more, with local legends and festival favourites taking to the decks. This is your chance to experience the Sharrow spirit indoors - community, creativity and pure good times under one roof.
Every ticket sold goes directly toward supporting Sharrow Festival 2026, helping to keep this iconic Sheffield celebration alive and thriving. So grab your mates, hit the dance floor and dance for the cause - it's going to be one for the books!

Alex Deadman (Junglist Alliance)
A long-standing figure in Sheffield's underground music scene, Alex Deadman brings the full fire of the Junglist Alliance wherever he plays. Forged in the Steel City's rave, reggae, and sound system culture, he's known for high-energy jungle selections, precision mixing, and deep roots in community music.
From early Dubcentral sessions to international stages, Alex represents true Sheffield bass culture with heavyweight tunes and unstoppable vibes. Always connecting people through rhythm, he has mentored younger selectors and helped shape the city's vibrant underground scene over decades.

Palanca Negra (Mulembas d'Africa / DiaspoRiddim)
Palanca Negra is the DJ alias of Angelina Abel, Angolan-born and Portugal-raised, and Artistic Director of Sheffield's Mulembas d'Africa. Her sets draw on African rhythms, reggae, and global bass to create immersive, joyful experiences that celebrate movement and cultural exchange. She also champions women in the local scene, helping make Sheffield's music community more inclusive.
Palanca's performances combine tradition with contemporary influences, offering audiences both education and exhilaration.

Chiv & Moonmonkey (Tonnau / Vibrations)
Part of Vibrations and Tonnau, Chiv & Moonmonkey host grassroots events across Sheffield & Wales at festivals like Tropical Garden Party or their regular night at Hagglers Corner. Their eclectic sets mix dub, reggae & roots-inspired bass music. They are central to Sheffield's underground scene, supporting emerging artists and building connections across collectives. Their sets are inventive and high energy, always packing a dancefloor.

Chris Welch (Phonetics)
Chris Welch co-runs Phonetics, a long-running Sheffield club night known for deep roots in the city's underground scene. Active since the early 2000s, Phonetics champions sounds from Hip Hop, Funk, Soul, and Global Bass, often collaborating with collectives like La Rumba and Funky Drummer. Phonetics is community-driven with great headline acts, reflecting Sheffield's DIY ethos while also pushing musical boundaries.

Dubcentral Sound System
Dubcentral has been at the heart of Sheffield's reggae and dub scene since 1999. The collective champions Roots Reggae, Dub, Steppers, and Conscious Music, creating inclusive spaces for all. Over the years they've brought some of the world's biggest Reggae artists and sound systems to Sheffield, including Jah Shaka, Iration Steppas, Mad Professor, Zion Train, and many more. Dubcentral is about people coming together to enjoy conscious, uplifting, and vibrant music. Their Dub Sound System sessions are celebrated across the city, and they continue to support artists and a new generation of sound systems.

Shakti (Dubcentral / JuJu Club)
A long-standing selector, co-owner of Dubcentral, and rooted in Sheffield's underground music movement, Shakti bridges the deep roots of Dubcentral with the global flavours of JuJu Club. Known for conscious selections, warm bass pressure, and true sound system sensibility, she moves effortlessly between roots reggae, dub, world rhythms, and uplifting dancefloor textures. Her decades in the Sheffield scene carry the heart of community culture - soulful, positive, and deeply musical every time.

Kom Kom (DiaspoRIDDIM/ East Beat)
Sheffield-based British-Khmer DJ Kom Kom is known for percussive, bass-heavy music. She is part of the DiaspoRIDDIM crew and the project East Beat, exploring East and South East Asian sounds and their diasporas through radio and live shows.
Her sets celebrate the music that emerges when cultures meet through migration, blending tradition with contemporary grooves. Kom Kom's DJing is joyful, inclusive, and rooted in rhythmic precision.

Papa Al (JuJu Club) Event organiser
Sheffield institution Papa Al has been bringing the world to the dancefloor since the late 1980s. With JuJu Club, he curates sets across Afrobeat, reggae, Latin, and desert-funk, creating warm, community-driven events. JuJu Club nights are synonymous with inclusivity, great energy, and joy - all guided by Papa Al's deeply felt musical vision. Over decades, he has inspired generations of DJs and audiences, maintaining a global music perspective while celebrating Sheffield culture.

Wahala, also known as Bukky Owolabi, specialises in the music of the African diaspora. Performing with JuJu Club, Wahala delivers cross-cultural, rhythm-driven sets that blend Afrobeat, reggae, and world grooves and collaborates widely across Sheffield's music scene, encouraging shared creativity through sound.

DisOrientalist is a global-bass master whose set's blur borders and defy convention - he can combine South Asian rhythms, Bollywood bass, electronic world music & More. Aejaz's performances take dancefloors on journeys through global soundscapes, connecting Sheffield audiences to international rhythms & bass heavy bangers.
