A Party with Cait Gregory + the Numpties (plus support) on Thursday 18th August 2022
A fab night of live music at Crookes Social Club. With incredible supporting sets from Lori, The Undies and The Levitation. And a headline set from Cait Gregory and The Numpties to finish the night with a bang.
We promise an evening of dancing, laughing and lots of surprises.
Doors to open at 7pm.
Cait Gregory and The Numpties -
Cait Gregory is a young singer-songwriter from Sheffield. Inspired by rock and indie bands as well as the likes of Ed Sheeran and Adele, she has an acoustic pop-indie sound with a blues twist. She regularly performs at open mics and regular gigs around the city. ‘Dancing In The Dark’ is her debut single and was written and produced by Cait as a DIY artist. She uses buttery chords and strong vocals, and has recently started performing her music with her backing band ‘The Numpties’. With Jonny on piano, Josh on Bass and Jake on drums, any gig with the band is a night you will not forget.
The Levitation -
The Levitation creates a noise that sounds like the definition of Summer. Using 12 string guitars and 8 string basses, the style emerges to be very unique in today's music scene, especially after the release of their first single. Some would call it pop, some would call it psychedelic rock, but all would call it refreshing.
The Undies -
The crappest band ever. Literally.
The Undies are a punk band from Rotherham, consisting of Alex on guitar and Kyle on drums and both sharing vocal duties. They have recently been on tour with Parallel States playing venues in; Carlisle, Stockport and London. They're ready to bring the energy to a gig near you soon.
LORI, known from Weekend Recovery, has pursued a solo project focusing on a electro pop sound. Her first single ‘Harelquin’ was released in November 2020. This is a dark pop song drenched in hooks and dance beats that’s hard hitting with an underline of an important message that’s all too familiar to too many people. Influenced by Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Phoebe Bridgers and a whole lot more, this song takes you on a rollercoaster ride of emotion and truth. LORI’s profile has been building through the last three years by touring and gaining support slots with her band Weekend Recovery. She has completed many UK tours and is a wonder to see live.
