About

International flamenco dancer from Granada, Cristina Aguilera (bailaora) brings her team of award-winning musicians to North West England once again, this time with  the show 'Emuná'. An enchanting and passionate performance from some flamenco greats.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Beautiful sincere flamenco  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An excellent evening with amazing artists!

Cristina Aguilera showcases her latest production, as artistic director, choreographer and dancer, created with the flamenco cante (traditional songs) of Miguel Lavi and the music of guitarist and composer David Caro. In a series of fleeting scenes, featuring flamenco styles such as the Soleá, Farruca and the Nana, Emuná sets out to show how faith enables us to overcome and learn from the challenges of life.
Cristina is a powerful performer, with the strength and rhythm of her feet as well as beauty and expression of her hands and movements. A charming and mischievous personality as well as an accomplished prize-winning dancer who has presented her own shows at international festivals. In her dance, Cristina presents ‘drama and lyricism, but also the raw energy and precision that preserve traditional flamenco within a contemporary context.’ Dance Magazine.
