Battle Of The Bands 2023

This summer we have the privilege of letting young, local talent shine through and giving the shot at winning some great music related prizes, such as having their very own slot on the main stage at the “Whiston Summer Festival” on the 2nd of July and having a song, be it original or a cover recorded, mixed and mastered right here at Heart Stripe Records!

Who is this event aimed at?

Whiston Parish Council’s Battle of the Bands is aimed at any young band performing covers and/or originals under the age of 25.

Where will the battle of the bands be held?

The battle of the bands will be held at the Whiston Parish Hall, S60 4HX, Whiston, Rotherham, South Yorkshire.

When does the event go ahead?

There will be two heats the first on Friday 9th of June 2023 7pm until 11pm, the next heat will be on the following Friday 16th of June 2023 7pm until 11pm.

The final will be held on the Friday 23rd June 7pm until 11pm 2023.

What is provided?

We will be providing all the front of house and monitoring system, we will also provide a drum kit.

What do we need to bring?

All you will need is your instrument (unless it is a drum kit) and amplification, if you are playing acoustically we will either plug you straight into the desk or mic you up.

You will also need 3 songs ready to perform, they can either be originals or covers.
