Review of GEMFEST
The event didn't go as planned and most of the activities planned didn't occur (without being informed until we arrived onsite). We were kindly offerered our money back, but a week later we are still waiting to be refunded the £44.10 we paid for 2 tickets!

Review of GEMFEST
The Gemfest website and offering was completely misleading. It stated there would be 4 bouncy castles (there was 1), free popcorn and water of which there was nothing, gin van, coffee van and pizza was not there, the toilets were supposed to be ‘luxury’ and were just standard portaloos with no soap. All in all just completely underwhelming for the cost. We had a nice day but it was essentially a school fete that should not have cost £22 a ticket!

Arrived at 11 nothing was set up, hardly anything there, £20 entry fee was shocking shouldn’t have been this much, no free popcorn or water, no water to wash hands in luxury toilets? Only one bouncy castle which was too small for the amount of kids there, was disappointing left after an hour or so as nothing else to do :(

The worst ‘festival’ I have ever been too. No free popcorn or water - as was promised. Only one very small bouncy castle (advert said there would be 4!). Hardly any food options (advert confirmed many options that were not there ?). A total shambles.

Unfortunately there was not a lot of people there, my 10 year old daughter was not impressed as Frozen was the music when we arrived, she’s grown out of that now.
Such a shame they couldn’t get the numbers.
Overpriced everything.
We only stayed for about 15 minutes I’m afraid.
Doubt I’ll get my 20 quid back..

Review of GEMFEST
Very disappointed I took my granddaughter more than half of the things advertised were not on site and what was with the exception of the mermaid face painting food vendors circus skills and music was really awful
we were not offered any apology or money back even though the organiser was on site

Review of Gemfest
Over-priced entry ticket (£22) and high bar prices. We also had to pay £10 extra for our children to use the inflatable slide but lots of children were playing on it without a wrist band so it wasn’t fair. Dogs were off the lead and one ended up walking all over someone’s food. The owner of the dog then told that family to F off several times so not nice. The wait time between the singers was far too long and boring so we left after the Disney singer as not much atmosphere. No shade.
Security team were friendly and effective. The circus skills was fun. Stage set up good and the whole thing was a nice size as we could our kids the whole time. Overall- too expensive and unfriendly crowd.

Not what we had expected at all. Unfortunately very few locals even knew it was on, so more advertising would have helped massively. There were not a lot of choices for food or drinks, especially for the kids. The prices for the bouncy castles were too high, considering how much we paid for tickets to get in. The music wasn't great and had too many long gaps, although the final act on Saturday night really did create a great vibe! The organiser was a lovely bloke, but he needs to look at his prices and what's actually being offered.

Really poor, not at all as advertised. Very misleading pictures/advert for event. Way overpriced fir what it was. All promotions for children that seemed to be included in ticket price..on the day we're charged as extra. Below par performances, very space nit much to offer, no shade and very few food stalls. Would not return next year..overpriced and pretty rubbish to be honest when other events save price offer A LOT more.

Review of Gemfest
What was promised on the gemfest website compared to what was actually delivered was vastly different! Only 2 tiny bouncy castles versus 4 they suggested they would have. No sign of pizza vans, free popcorn for kids or any candy floss. The stalls resembled the local school fair not a festival. Small number of live acts meant music was spaced a part. Highlight was Ginistry and the Little mermaid and her gems! Had so much potential to be a great event needs to rethink delivery!

Sadly the event was really badly managed. So much of what was advertised wasn’t there- luxury toilets were portaloos which I don’t mind at all but why say on the website that no portaloos. There was only a few stalls when we went and some had closed early. The food options were limited- just Sizzle and jerk chicken which closed early and the cookie place closed early too. I think the event needed to be advertised better because it was very quiet which was such a shame. I love supporting local events but this just wasn’t done well at all. I can’t believe we paid over £20 to get in to effectively sit in the park.

It would have been an OK festival if they didn't charge for entry, but to charge £21 per adult, then charge for all the activities as well?? £5 a wristband for the kids to go on the bouncy castle and slide, £6 a beer (no wine) the music was too quiet, no sign of the 'free' popcorn promised, the 'luxury' toilets were standard portaloos. The whole thing was tiny and just a bit rubbish for the price. Everyone had cleared out by 7 so I feel sorry for the acts meant to be on until 11pm!

Arrived at 11:30 and nothing was ready. Definitely not as advertised - no free popcorn for kids or free water for everyone. Only two bouncy castles and not four as expected. Some of the promised attractions were not there - circus acts, clairvoyant, art activities, pro pool competition, fire acts, Disney characters, photo booth. Got the impression that the kids activities were going to be free but had to pay for them - £5 to use the bouncy castles is extortionate. For what was there, £20 entrance fee was outrageous.

The idea is great and the organiser Dan and his mum really did welcome you and were so friendly, there were a few issues which if they do it again next year hopefully will change- there was way too many security and they were doing absolutely nothing, in between acts it was a bit flat, there should have been some sort of background music! The toilets didnât have sanitiser or soap in any (luckily we had our own) the food ran out at the jerk hut so we couldnât get any food, there were lots on for kids but felt it lacked what was promised about it being an all day music event, there were long gaps of nothing.
