Review of The SoulTones
We booked tickets though Skiddle. It said the Event started at 7.00 we got there at 20 to 7. No one greets you, it’s like your invisible. There was no one on reception, we eventually ask a guy who walked passed us if he worked there and he said yes and we told him we are there for the event soultones and that we have tickets, we said to wait here still. He didn’t come back, we waited until 7 and then eventually went up stairs and should them the tickets, as we only booked drink and dance we had to sit at the bar which a lady took us too, she said the music doesn’t start till 9.30! We left and didn’t go back. We did not want to wait two and half hour just for the music to start. Why doesn’t Skiddle say on the website that if you booked drink and dance and not dinner that you should get there later and later found out there is a dress code. The event was so unorganised. It was a shambles, they were still setting up at at 7. Won’t recommend the jazz cafe in reading or Skiddle. Customer service is just a robot on Skiddle. Unhelpful, unhappy and a waste of £26 pounds! Weekend away ruined!
Jazz cafe is difficult to find and they need to work on customer service and actually being organised! Totally shambles, very disappointed.
