Fantastic British Food Festival at Stonor Park on Saturday 16th June 2018
Foodies are in for a treat this Father’s Day weekend as magnificent Stonor Park in Henley-on-Thames will transform into a gourmet paradise during Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th June. Legendary British cookery writer and BBC1 Britain’s Best Home Cook judge (launching in April 2018), Mary Berry CBE, will headline Stonor Park’s first Food Festival and will be available for book signing followed by a Q&A session that’s guaranteed to inspire even the most accomplished baker. With over 50 local and national food and drink exhibitors there’s plenty of opportunity for tastings and shopping. Prepare to be entertained with fascinating demonstrations from celebrity and local chefs, as well as a multitude of interactive family-friendly activities within the stunning grounds of the manor house.
Festival organiser, Jeff Harper from the Fantastic British Food Festivals comments:
“We’re really excited about our first food festival at beautiful Stonor Park and are delighted baking superstar Mary Berry is able to attend to celebrate this fantastic food festival! We’ve organised other masterclasses throughout the weekend with food and drink experts including Masterchef finalists Billy and Jack, Great British Bake-Off Finalist Steven Carter-Bailey and the Lunc Box Doctor Jenny Tschiesche to offer nutritional advice for children. Further food and drink experts will be announced nearer to the time on social media and the Stonor Park website.”
Jeff continues: “As it’s Father’s Day weekend you can guarantee there will be plenty of delicious food on offer to keep all the family happy. A wide range of local stallholders are confirmed from the BBQ Smoke Train and Chilli Dogs to mouth-watering cheeses from The Great British Cheese Co. and high quality Chiltern Oils and Charcuterie. Loddon Brewery, Dunnet Bay Distillers and a fabulous prosecco bar will be on hand to quench your thirst plus sweet treats from the Crumble Shack and Tess’s Brilliant Bakes plus so much more.”
Amuse the family with strolling musicians, storytellers and games. Then let the children run wild in the fabulous Wonder Woods, an adventure playground guaranteed to wear them out with hours of swinging, jumping and splashing fun.
Home to the Stonor family for over 850 years and one of England’s oldest manor houses lived in today, Stonor Park is rich in native wildlife including fallow deer, red kites and buzzards and has outstanding displays of artwork, tapestries, bronzes and ceramics within the house. Experience the magic of Stonor Park and maximise your visit by strolling through the extensive gardens and fascinating house.
