Review of Music in the Park
Would you recommended: Yes
Tony Hadley took too long to play "Gold." Otherwise it was pretty cooel!
Prices way to high £4.50 for a can of lager is ridiculous
Would you recommended: No
Should be allowed to take water in with you as bar prices extortionate. Tent needed for VIP area if it rains and more shelters available- the VIP area wasnâ??t really a VIP area and not worth the extra money
it was awesome ð??ð??ð??
ran out of beer and ran out of water in the toilets in the premium part but the festival over all was brilliant
Fabulous all round event, music great. Maybe could of been a bit more catering on offer
Great day, plenty of space, not overpriced and music was awesome
MR ANDREW PARKINSON
Not any songs we new apart from pat sharp dj
It was a great event with a good atmosphere. Tickets were good value but premium tickets only really got better toilets which ran out of water part way through. The bar was no different to the general one and had longer queues. No food difference no separate area so why was it a premium ticket? Dr and the medics were very good.
Absolutely fantastic day..Great music ð???
absolutely buzzin atmosphere, music absolutely spot on,well organised, great event
Mandy Acornley-Higg inson
it was a fantastic day. Really enjoyed every minute. The bar prices were very high though, a four can pack of cider with the rrp of 5.95 still on it but sold for 18.00...extortionate!!!
Good music great organisation super day ð???
Good weather helped this event today.
It would have been totally different, had it been raining !
Maybe more choice of food stalls, ie. healthier food choices, would have been an improvement.
Better signage of the event toilets and overall signage to the Worden Park event, on the roads outside + around Leyland.
Pat Sharp and Tony Hadley were awesome !
we would attend this event again, if it is held there, if there are good artists on and would recommend it to others.
Absolutely loved the whole day and night. very well organised. well done to all involved. The artists were brilliant. just loved it and the sun shone on us aswell. ð?¤©ð??ð??
A fantastic concert, all acts were brilliant. I would highly recommend it. I can’t wait for the next concert in 2023. :-)
The premium tickets were not worth paying extra for. Both none premium and premium has similar wait time.. Staff were letting anyone in the premium toilets. We definitely go again but just pay for a standard ticket.
Andrea Jane Reeve
Well organised. Great atmosphere. Would have been better to bring own food drink as prices extortionate
we paid extra for Premium tickets but wish we hadn't bothered. the queue at the bar was longer than the other bar and security weren't checking wristbands for the toilets so anybody could get in, complete waste of extra money!
A absolutely fantastic day. Loved every minute. Great acts, good food choices, not many stalls though. Also the bar was mostly lager, no ales. All staff did a fantastic job and most where friendly & chatty. I really hope itâ??s on again next year, possibly dressing up 80â??s.ð??ð?»ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT
Cracking day out helped by the lovely weather. Only complaint was the vastly overpriced alcoholic drinks whereas the food was sold at a fair price in my opinion
More stands and some rides. Had all that space and not allot going off.
Amazing from start to finish
Superbly organised event , great food available and lovely atmosphere . Plenty of toilets and no huge queues at bar etc . Canâ??t wait for next year
Fantastic brilliant event. all acts were amazing and the atmosphere was electric. Great day.
Sarah Jane Farnworth
It was an amazing show! Fantastic venue, music, food and atmosphere! Took me back to my youth!
Brought the 80s back great days music
Fantastic day, and being my first wasnt sure what to expect but excellent organisation. Just a shame you wherr not allowed to bring your own food.
Fabulous event, hope Worden Park does this every year! Only criticism was drinks were warm, we had premium tickets for premium bar but they didn't have any ice even at the start!
Premium bar could have done better.. No full bottles of wine and Red wine ran out!
Toilets... again need to be better. Lytham Festival no problems with either issues!
Needs more acts next time...but for a first time, not a bad job !!
Very disappointed with the extra cost for premium seats with no separate area to stand, was very expensive for a ‘b’ list concert, would go again but wouldn’t pay premium ticket prices
Can not wait for next year.
Great to see the bands and they sounded as good as they did when they first hit the charts. Excellent event. Thanks.
Had a brilliant day with family. We thought Tony Hadley, T-Pau and definitely Pat Sharp were great. The others were good.
Price of food and drink was expensive.
Food and drink very expensive and I would like to take my own food and drink. I think this would encourage more people to attend and be more enjoyable if you could take a picnic.
Very unfair to make this amount of profit on food and drink especially in currently financial climate.
I would consider not going next year if you could not take own picnic and lots of people expressed the same opinion yesterday.
Well organised, fun fab evening with a great atmosphere..thank you ! Can’t wait for next year
One small thing my friends and I agreed the premium tickets were not worth the considerable extra price as almost identical facilities
Friendly and efficient staff.
Felt safe at the venue and had a great time!
All was good however the quality of food and coffee from some of the vendors left a LOT to be desired also no soap or sanitiser available at any time in the premium toilets which given we have just had a pandemic wasn’t good or expected!
I generally don't attend outdoor music festivals as they can get a bit lairy with the all day drinking and usually over packed. However, I decided to give this one a go as it was on the doorstep and it did not disappointment. The event was very well organised. The sound can lose it's quality at events like this but it was superb on this occasion. The acts were fantastic! A really good selection of music from the DJ's during the changeovers. I was a little upset about not being able to bring food and water into the event, but was pleased to see a good choice of vendors that were not overpriced. And the sun came out! Look forward to the next one.
It was an excellent day, good line up and great atmosphere and the weather made it
Music in the park was a great day out some great acts on and the price was good for what was going on
Not happy that we could not go out and come back in this meant I had to feed my dogs at 14.30. Extortionate drinks prices at the bar. Music very good
We paid premium & was not worth it as only 2 bars, the premium gave change, but the other bar would not give any change!!!
Music was excellent , need to sort out the bars.
Excellent line up, amazing venue, all the staff behind the scenes were amazing. Would prefer to bring my own drinks and a picnic
Absolutely fantastic day. It was very well run and all our needs were accommodated for. Staff and security were on hand at all time for any queries or concerns. Bar staff were very pleasant and friendly. Prices were surprisingly not as high as expected - please keep this up.
A great organised event. Would like to see more music at this park.
Excellent first music in the park event. Hoping for bigger and better next year.
Definitely in my diary for next year. Thank you
Great day. Well organised. Prices at two bars different which should not happen. Red wine ran out very early and should have been better planned. Excellent disabled facilities.
Fantastic day atmosphere was brilliant great to see everyone having a good time definitely going to the next one ??
Had a fabulous day, but only two choices of lager and only one bar, long queues.
Great day well organised. Prices of cans far too expensive
Premium was poor
Concert was amazing and the changeovers were slick and timely
Would book again no problems
Food and drink extortionate prices :/
We had a great day, although we paid premium for this event but felt we didn’t get much for the extra price we paid for and the drinks were exceptionally over priced.
Brilliant event we need more of this
L M Knowles
Thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and evening, great atmosphere, and music. Dr and the medics were a great opening band, the DJâ??s set was excellent and Tony Hadleyâ??s voice as resonant and strong as it ever was.
Absolutely fantastic event great bands atmosphere and so well run ...Never took the Mick with prices either
Overall, a really good day. But the ridiculously long wait for Tony Hadley to perform killed the atmosphere. Also one or two acts short over the day.
Feel the premium tickets were over sold, as less queues at the bars and toilets in the non premium areas.
Brilliant day. Great music , friends and venue. Weather was fantastic which completed a great day.
Great day, the weather made it for me, could not have got a better day.
Plenty of amenities .
Dj set was fabulous!!
We had a great day .hope we see it next year
Excellent day, same again next year please.
Don't waste your money on the premium tickets not worth the money
Brilliant event. The only feedback I would give is that maybe they could do with projecting the stage onto the screens so everyone can see the acts and the footpath out of the park maybe needed some sort of lighting.
But overall it was well organised with great acts I would definitely go again if they make it a yearly event
Fantastic day! Loved every minute.
Amazing day all round. Great music, perfect venue and the sun shone on us all day. Will definitely be back next year.
Awesome all round.
£18 for 4 cans of larger where ridicules price.
Fab day - great atmosphere
Excellent, please do it again ?
Fantastic well organised event.
Fantastic day well organised.
Fab music in the park in Leyland. Really easy to get in with our e-tickets. Friendly staff, loads of room (not oversold) lots of toilets (didn’t wait longer than 1 minute) great choice of food vendors and fab line up. Will definitely be going again. Such a great festival
Fabulous event and so well organised. Looking forward to next years!
Amazing day from start to finish. Superb acts, well organized and a great atmosphere. Such an amazing experience and for my birthday too? Thanks for such an outstanding event.
The whole event was excellent with quality bands, Very well run and very fair ticket prices to,
Really hope this is now a yearly event.... highly recommended ,
Kevin Michael Kovacs
Disappointed having paid for premium tickets, and no bitter on sale only lager, not everyone likes lager /cider,
Not the best acts but great atmosphere and brilliant for leyland.
Brilliant day. Very expensive when you can't even take own water in. Well organised.
Fantastic well organised event. Everything was perfect. The venue, food. Bar, loos and stalls were well managed. Definitely recommend to go premium. Music was brilliant. Such a blast from the past.
I couldn't attend this event as I have been unwell with covid 19. I am disabled and covid affects me quite badly. I took the insurance policy out when I booked the tickets just in case I was unfortunate and this situation happened. Unfortunately skiddle and it's partners make it almost impossible to receive a refund due to covid (they won't accept a positive result from a lateral flow home test kit, and insist you need to have been ruled unwell by a doctor but my doctor's doesn't want to see you if you have covid). This is a con when it comes to the insurance. I would have to think long and had before I would book any tickets with this company again.
We’ll organiser, great acts, premier facilities were accessed without a problem. Bar areas could have been bigger - really long queues. We were very lucky in the weather, so this was a bonus. The field was muddy, but the weather can’t be booked in advance!
Great music and atmosphere hopefully more artists next time x.
this inaugural event could not have gone better
Amazing day, the beer was overpriced and the premium toilets although were very clean water ran out for hand washing
Fantastic event . Would love to see another event of similar size or bigger .
Had such a good time x
80’s acts were brilliant! Very professional! Staging and lighting superb. Great atmosphere!
Tony Hadley was amazing!
There should have been more stalls, 80’s T-shirts and dress up stalls, Merchandise for artists performing on the day. Otherwise a fab day!
Great to have such a fantastic local event. Fabulous atmosphere. Would definitely attend if held again
Brilliant night, first music festival ever and I absolutely loved it
It was an absolutely amazing event from start to finish. Very well organised and everyone was very well behaved.
Can’t wait to a bigger and better event next year.
The music and bands were great apart from go west, pat sharp had everybody up singing and dancing and then go west came on and it went flat. Not enough choice of lagers.
Overall a good festival and should happen every year.
Excellent venue and great atmosphere!
Awesome day n8ght and hopefully this event will carry on for years to celebrate
Nicholas Andrew Sumner
I am a fan of eighties music and enjoyed the performances by Heaven 17, Go West and Tony Hadley. The catering was good. The park was quite muddy near the stage and matting could have been laid down in advance.
Great gig good bands really enjoyed it the low stars in prices is only for the bar everything including food was fair .it was not really a bar just selling cans at over rated prices and they ran out of all wine by 5pm and didn't bother getting any more very unprofessional and it put a damper on a great day
Loved it . Great for my home town ?
Was very good ran to time no idiots there need few more bins but very good will book again
We absolutely loved the event, it was very well organised and the music was fantastic
Absolutely loved it - fantastic atmosphere - and so great to have a music event locally for a change. More like this please. Some local theatre and other events would be great too please. :-)
Not overcrowded, great atmosphere and music was fab ?
Brilliant day out, great atmosphere
Great sound production and lighting.
Felt safe and no crowd bother.
Not long between sets. Kept the atmosphere going.
Would go again!
Having paid for vip did not feel was value for money. No premium seating area. Ran out of any type of wine at least 3 hours before the end and no water for hand washing a couple of hours before the end.
Concert itself was great
The event was amazing and just what was needed for the public
It was an amazing day . Music was great , fabulous atmosphere…. Nostalgia all the way .
The cans were expensive
Awesome location, fantastic atmosphere! Great day out
A fabulous event & a great atmosphere. Worde Park proves itself to be a wonderful venue.
Well organised. Good music and fanrastic atmosphere. Tickets reasonably priced but food and drink vendors predictably took advantage of people being unable to bring in their own.
Wonderful day well organised great atmosphere more again next year please
Absolutely great day out. Watched all the bands and all were fantastic. Loved pat sharp dj set(he knows how to start a party)! Would definitely go again if it’s on next year
Had absolutely brilliant time! Well organised & great atmosphere. All the acts were great and everyone were obviously thoroughly enjoying themselves! Thanks to all involved.
Pat shop got the place jumping
Great line up in a great location. Wonderful to have some live music in Leyland.
I felt that the Premium tickets were not necessarily good value, as there was no separate premium viewing area. Bar service was actually faster at the the non-premium bar, but I guess that is because there was not a capacity crowd.
All in all a great day out. Can we have another one next year please?
Well managed, easy parking and no traffic issues arriving or leaving, will be back if it’s on next year
The VIP tickets where certainly not worth the extra money, extremely disappointed as the general bar had less people queuing than the vip bar most of the time and certainly not worth paying an extra £20 for toilets that were dirty and smelt!
Laura Kate Brown
Amazing day and evening
We had a fabulous time . Great atmosphere ,plenty of space , great facilities. My only gripe would be the extortionate prices for alcohol. Eg..6 cans of Heineken was £27. It does take the gloss off the day. Saying that though we
would definitely return. It was just the prices for drink and food .
Well organised, music and atmosphere great. Got in and out of the venue without major queues.
Would not buy premier tickets again got served quicker at the normal drinks area and the water in the ladies toilets stopped working so you couldn’t wash your hands.
Great day, music superb.
Food & drinks could be cheaper.
7 hours of live entertainment great value for money.
Look forward to the next one
Brilliant music and atmosphere. My only problem was that I bought VIP tickets but when we got there everybody was lumped together in one area. Surely VIP means you get upgraded to a better area with superior bars etc not a prefabricated wooden one which incidentally I got a splinter off. I realise it's the first event and lessons can be learnt lets hope the next one is superior
Great all round!!
HAYLEY DICKINSON DICKINSON
Really good event.
Donna Maureen Hutchings
Good set of artists
Brilliant event. Well organised. Music fab.
Fantastic event in my home town!
Fantastic.. hope they hold it again next year ?
The event was very well organised. Plenty of toilets. Plenty of security. Long queues to get food.
I think the quality of the sound system was poor given the number of people and the area it was covering for an outside venue
The artist line up was great as was the stage and lighting
The biggest no no for ourselves was it should have been a picnic in the park and be able to take our own food and drink. The choice of food and beverages was extremely poor more suited a roadside lay-by
Given the majority age group for an 80’s concert something more upmarket than a cheeseburger or chips would have been more appropriate
Personally I would have preferred a higher entrance cost or a corkage charge to enable ourselves to have our own food and wine.
I also would like to have explained why a no re-entry policy was in force when as a local resident could not attend as a family for the entire day as we could not leave our dog unattended for the entire duration so we’re forced to leave entry until last admission to minimise the time our dog was left
Overall the event was brilliant and outstanding for the town and whoever thought about this needs a medal brilliant idea..
A couple of corrections for next time , the beer selection was terrible and they ran out of wine really early, not enough Bars onsite, and queues were large. Too many Rules, it was like being at school..
Calum James Lennon
Great afternoon at Worden Park
Fantastic day, just disappointed with security, I had 1 packet of crisps confiscated, as I had been working all morning and had no lunch just thought I would grab a quick snack to have before I bought some lunch in the park, the lady was quite rude and would take no explanation!!!!
Brilliant day. Very well organised. Would love this to be an annual event
Fantastic day. Only down side was the cost of drinks £4 a can which I wouldn't have minded paying but given a pack of four with the rrp label still on as £5.49 and they charging £16 other than the the music was great as was the atmosphere.
Loved the whole thing, but Pat Sharp was the stand out act. An hour of top tunes had everyone on their feet. Food, overpriced and average as usual. But the beer, selling multipack cans, priced at £4.79 for 4, at £4.50 a can, really took the p**s
Excellent concert at Worden Park - just what Leyland needed
Brilliant ! Very well organised. Great atmosphere
Great night, some acts better than others but overall very good.
Food prices high. Drinks choice limited.
Great event. Hope to see a return next year.
Great event, well organised, super music and a great crowd.
Great day , organised well, layout great , music great , atmosphere great , would definitely come again next year
Fantastic,well organised,superb bands
We had an amazing day, great music and facilities. We were surrounded by our lovely friends and family. We can’t wait for next year ?
Great day! I hope it becomes an annual event. It was well organised, great acts & good selection of food stalls.
Great party atmosphere. Very well organised event
It was a fantastic day but the premium tickets should have their own seating area. Why pay an extra £18 for toilets and a bar where the queues were as long as at the main bar.
We had a fantastic day, enjoyed every moment. Venue was great, artist were fab, great atmosphere, would like to see more like this at worden Park in the future. Only criticism was the premium tickets we purchased, we did not get value for money. When you pay extra you don't expect to have to queue for drinks like we did, the queue was as bad as the general admission bar. Ladies toilet ran out of water. If you are going to charge twice as much then you expect better, we have been to many venues so we know what to expect from a premium ticket
A really well organised. event.
A good venue, brilliant atmosphere, good food & obviously great artists.....
A complaint though,..... the Wine had completely sold out by 6pm.!
... If you are not allowing food & drink to be brought in.....then surely you need to make sure that there is enough alcohol to last for the evening !
This spoilt what would have otherwise been a brilliant event.
Very good but was go dear for drinks
The drinks were daylight robbery . 4 cans of lager had a price ticket of £5.79 on them and £18 was charged
Great, well organised event helped by beautiful weather. Paid for premium tickets but didn't get any real benefits. No seperate seating area. Premium bar appeared to have same drinks choice as regular bar. Queues shorter at regular bar. Premium toilets no better than regular ones. Not sure what the extra £20 paid for. No complaint about food or drink prices, reasonable for this type of event.
Fantastic afternoon/evening, great music from well known artists of my era. Weather was good so that helped with the enjoyment, good selection of food, reasonable prices for food and drink. Plenty of toilets, however, toilet paper wasn’t replenished, luckily I had some tissues ? Everyone appeared to be enjoying themselves and people were friendly.
Brill location and line up. £18 for 4 cans is extortion.
Enjoyed every minute
The premium tickets not really worth the extra, as you could get served quicker at the normal bar, the VIP toilets did not have soap in them, and seemed like every one was using the vip toilets, however there was plenty of toilets which was fantastic. Well done SRC hope there is another festival.
Great atmosphere, everybody I could see was having a great time from start to finish...it was an absolute blast, so much fun BUT! What a bloody rip off, I mean come on here....how much for a can, and a multipack one at that (wonder what trading standards would make of this sales and profiteering?)
I know it's a first event and a learning curve for the organisers so lessons to be learned eh.
Oh and Premium tickets is supposed to mean quality over standard, not being a snob here but what quality? Toilets and the bar looked almost identical to the standard just the standard was a little further to walk. Other than this I hope to see this event on the park next year because like I said at the beginning....what a blast we all had.
Listen to all the negatives and I'm sure you'll get it right for next year?
Atmosphere and music, especially Pat Sharp, were great
I go to a lot of gigs including lets rock 80s....amd this had the similar atmosphere. Pls don't change to the younger ones kind of music because then it all changes for the worse....in my opinion. All the bands 6esterday were amazing.....and Tony Hadley ?
I would also recommend some lights to show the pathway on our way out of the main gates.
Excellent music and venue but bar needed to be bigger .lqueues too long , drink and food prices extortionate also . Snacks should have been allowed to be brought in.
Absolutely amazing, only downside is the VIP premium tickets should offer more and should have had a private section at the stage, and pity the water went off in the toilets so no washing hand facilities later on, so hand sanitisers should also have been provided, but apart from that is was amazing and would recommend.
Dr Clare Winder
A fantastic day. Very well-organised and the acts were fabulous. To have such an event so close to home was brilliant and I hope they do it all again next year.
VIP tickets a waste of money. Long queues at the bar, no sectioned off area. Toilet ran out of hand wash and water, about three hrs before the end. Security were letting all n sundries use the the toilets
Excellent days entertainment with some great bands from the 80’s!
Great event, well organised and a super party atmosphere!
I paid for Premier ticket but really was no different extras time I will buy a regular ticket
A well organised, brilliant event from start to finish.
Superb well organised enjoyable event
I would not upgrade to premium ticket again- I think the extra price for a bar and toilet block is not worth the extra ticket price. I was under the impression that unless you upgraded you were not allowed to bring in a seat. It didn’t matter what price you paid- everyone was able to bring in a seat.
The event was well organised but seriously let down by the bar running out of wine with still 6 hrs left of the festival, very disappointing considering we were not allowed to bring our own alcohol in!!
Brilliant day good music. Too long between acts. Fabulous atmosphere
Amazing day of live music and dancing thoroughly enjoyed it ??
Excellent facilities, booze bit pricy
Excellently organised. Hope there's another next year
This was a well organised event with some excellent music every band was worth watching. I particularly enjoyed Go West & Heaven 17 but also Enjoyed Tony Hadley & T'pau.
Didn’t think that the extra facilities for vip justified the additional cost but thoroughly enjoyed the day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come again
Music sounded great. The artist’s were good and the Queues were not too long for food and drinks
Danced all day
more events PLEASE !!!
Fantastic day out
Had a great day and evening, great atmosphere people lovely and the music list was great would recommend it to anyone!
Four of us entered the venue without anyone checking out tickets, security were more bothered about searching bags and camping chairs for alcohol.
Drinks prices were extortionate, £18 for 4 cans that still had the £5.75 label on was just disgusting. You pay those prices at large festivals not a local small concert. Overall the concert was good but the security and drinks prices would stop me from going again!
Had a great day, even had a meet and greet with Tony Hadley!
The only downside was that there weren’t enough bins scattered about
Fabulous to have the opporunity to see big names close to home. Organization from parking to toilet facilities were excellent.
Really enjoyed the concert, would like to see some more big acts next year.
Paul James Fox
VIP tickets had no real benefit.
Otherwise very good venue and good crowd.
Bar prices were extortionate and the toilets were not nice (even in premier zone).
You should have a separate area for premier ticket holders
There was no where to buy anything as a momentum eg tee-shirt, sweatshirts, hats, key food and drink you can make 50% profit
But what was being charged was ridiculous
You we’re making 300+ % profit
Pepole are not going to be able to afford to go to these events cause your going to out prize them
