PoVo - General Description

PoVo is a northwest-based, five-piece that combines the jazz-funk fusion of the 1970s and 80s with an improvisational ethos derived from today’s latest sounds. The result is an irresistible electric groove that’s reminiscent of our musical roots - artists like Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, Grover Washington, and the Yellowjackets - but with a unique feel that remains new and fresh. Built on a solid bass and drum vibe, the band layers keyboards, guitar and sax to produce a sound that is as visceral as it is cerebral.
