Slaughter II / The Media Whores / The Awkwards on Friday 17th August 2018

SLAUGHTER II

SLAUGHTER II is formed by ex-members of legendary Manc punk act SLAUGHTER AND THE DOGS.

Edweena Banger, formerly Eddie Garrity, from Ed Banger & The Nosebleeds, who replaced Wayne Barrett in the original line-up in 1979, and Manchester’s #1 punk drummer and original member Brian Grantham. Brian also drums in The Drones and the reformed Nosebleeds.

Expect SLAUGHTER punk legacy hits old and new!

A wham bam thankyou mam collection of classic British punk that transports you back to the 1970s. Instantly accessible and slightly rockier than you’d expect, the band, essentially ‘The Dogs’ Mark 1V, deliver a well-crafted suite of high octane tracks that have been nearly 40 years in the making!

Nigel Carr, Louder Than War

THE MEDIA WHORES

Anyone who loves intelligent political punk will adore this rampage of rebellious songs railing against the establishment's multitudinous misuses of power, media hypocrisy and social injustice.... political power/pop punk perfection. Mark Chadderton, Vive le Rock

THE AWKWARDS

THE AWKWARDS are seasoned gigging UK punkers that have supported some of the big names, played Rebellion, a bunch of other festivals, and the top of Blackpool tower!
