Deeper Purple on Saturday 3rd March 2018
There are few bands that can claim to have influenced successive generations of musicians. Every budding guitarist instantly recognises and learns the Ritchie Blackmore riff for ‘Smoke on the Water’ and, after 45 years since it’s recording, it can still be heard today in music shops the world over. Such was the impact of Deep Purple.
With a blistering set consisting of all the classics the Anglo-Spanish tribute band Deeper Purple feature the best reproduction of the Deep Purple live sound you’re ever likely to hear, delivering the ultimate rock experience!
A classic rock tribute show to one of the world’s most influential rock bands, the Anglo-Spanish tribute Deeper Purple are on the road as a ‘Highway Star’ and guaranteed to take you back to the classic 1970s with memories of a ‘Child in Time’. So, if you like your music loud and proud it’s time for a ‘Black Night’ at the Deeper Purple show.
Comprised of seasoned professionals from both Spain and the UK who, having given up on the idea of being invited to join the great band, decided to get together and form as authentic a tribute as possible! After all, it takes some doing to encapsulate the music of a band that have been going for over forty years and worked through so many different line ups!
Deeper Purple heavily feature the classic mark II line up, faithfully reproducing the excellent ‘Made in Japan’ album as well as other songs from that line up in addition to a wide selection of material from the equally classic mark III line up.
An illustrious series of live shows has seen Deeper Purple play across the UK extensively for almost ten years in addition to a number of events in Spain, including two concerts for the Harley Davidson Owners Group (HOG) rally in Jerez, a rock festival in Mijas Auditorium and even the castle in Puerto Duquesa!
Not only has the band built up a loyal following across the UK but have also garnered the praise of original Deep Purple bassist Nic Simper, who they were privileged to have guest with them in November 2008. Also, former Rainbow vocalist Doogie White was so impressed with their show at the Hard Rock Café in Glasgow (during their UK tour of Spring 2017) that he joined them on stage to blast through a few numbers much to the delight of the audience.
