The Community Concert for Peace is to mark the centenary of the first Armistice Day on 11th November 1918. As a community concert we are involving members of the Preston community in the concert and workshops leading up to the concert. We will be joined by over 60 other performers to present a celebration concert for peace to mark the centenary of the first Armistice day in 1918.
The performers will include local young people and adults who will sing as one choir with us. The Gujarat Dancers and the Together in Song Choir from Manchester will be a part of the concert. This will be a momentous night of powerful and uplifting music to remember all the people who have suffered from war. A celebration of peace by people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
The project is funded by the Duchy of Lancaster Benevolent Fund and the Big Lottery Fund so a huge Thank You to all you lottery players out there.
