Fort Widley Ghost Hunt on Saturday 14th September 2019
The long dark tunnels of Fort Widley have plenty of scary stories to tell! But what will they reveal during our ghost hunt experience.
Fort Widley is part of a network of victorian forts across Portsdownhill which were built to defend Portsmouth.
Although never used to defend the city, Fort Widley has become known as one of Portsmouths most haunted venues with plenty of resident ghosts.
Visitors the fort have been followed by the presence of a tall, dark shadow with heavy footsteps. On occasions, he has been witnessed with a lantern.
The ghost of the little drummer boy also makes himself known. He was involved in a horrific accident when he was killed after falling down the stairs.
Maybe you could come face to face with the white lady. It is said she was strangled and killed by her husband.
These are just a few of the forts resident ghosts.
The ghost hunt experience includes dowsing, glass divination, seance and many more.
