The Scruff + Lucky Lessons + Vigilantes + Among The Citizens on Friday 17th November 2017

We're pleased to be able to bring 3 new bands to The Mets stage for this show and one band we've been nurturing for a while!!
- The Scruff may be new to Peterborough but they've been making some serious headway nationally!
Their current single ' Her' was recently all over Radio 1's playlist as the 'BBC Introducing Radio 1 track of the week'
The single is available everywhere now:
Spotify -
iTunes & Apple Music…
Google Play -
Amazon -
Deezer -
A bit about the band - The Scruff—A sartorially elegant four piece from Bedford, England, The Scruff are steeped in the English tradition of quirky guitar-pop, evoking the classic song writing of The Kinks and The Jam and the prime Brit-Pop hooks of Blur and Supergrass with a new age twist.
The Lucky Lessons are an alternative rock band from Peterborough, United Kingdom. If you remember Peterborough bands The Midnigfht Birds and Paizx Amour then you’ll recognise the members of The Lucky Lessons! - have a listen to a rough track here -
The full bill now reads
Vigilantes - energetic Indie Rock. Their live shows have rightfully earned them support slots with bands such as: The Subways, Man Made and The Sherlocks, with their latest singles 'Rather Be You Instead' 'What A Shame' and 'Fairweather Friends' having received fantastic responses from BBC Introducing.
They've just completed a smal lUK tour - definately for fans of indie guitar music. - have a listen to this -
Check them out at
'I love it. I love them so much. They take me back to my youth; they sound like Manic Street Preachers in their heydey, from when Richie was with them' - Dean Jackson, BBC Introducing
Among The Citizens - a new 4 piece Indie alternative band aged between 16-17 in the Peterborough area. Musical influences are mainly based on bands such as 'The Arctic Monkeys', 'The 1975', 'Swim Deep', 'The White Stripes' and many more. These guys suppoirted The Extons at The Met the other week and madew a really good impression on those that matter - ie the customers. Good to see a young guitar band coming through in the area.
