Launched in 2004 , the Cambridge Rock Festival has always been a family-run, family-friendly, music festival , run by volunteer music fans for music fans, with a great, friendly, non-corporate vibe! .2020 will see around 65 acts appearing over four days on three stages. The event has been short-listed for best medium sized UK festival.
2020 will see the festival relocation to Peterborough's East of England Showground.Dave Roberts, festival director, said, “We’re sure that the move has great benefits for all those attending, including tiered seating, hard standing car park and site roads, permanent buildings, better transport links and more affordable accommodation for those not wishing to camp. On-site camping with parking by your tent and free car parking will all continue. “
Among headliners this year are – Focus ,Cats in Space , Dare , Hazel O’Connor , Tygers of Pang Tang , Atomic Rooster, Ken Pustelnik’s Groundhogs ,Pendragon , Hollowstar and the Electric Strawbs.
The festival will continue to feature its usual real-ale bars with over 70 real ales and 25 farmhouse ciders on sale, and the new specialist gin, Pimms & Prosecco Bar.

Despite being run and stewarded by enthusiastic volunteers, who make it perhaps the friendliest festival you will find, many festival attendees and indeed many bands have said it is one of the best run festivals they’ve ever been to.
The CRF has always been involved with the local community, with a fundraising collection for local charities each day of the festival.
