Perth Festival of the Arts on Thursday 17th - Saturday 26th May 2018
Big names such as Ruby Wax, the Reverend Richard Coles and Val McDermid will join the legendary Jools Holland, Grimethorpe Colliery Band and stage performers English Touring Opera on the 2018 bill.
The festival kicks off with arTay - a large exhibition of Scottish art featuring the work of over 80 artists, with around 300 pieces on show. Best of all, admission is free!
English Touring Opera will perform at both Perth Concert Hall and Perth Theatre over two consecutive nights. First up is their production of 'The Marriage of Figaro' at the Concert Hall, before the following evening they take to the Theatre stage with Rossini's Greatest Arias.
The festival was founded in 1972 and this year's line-up is diverse with something to suit everybody's taste. Great classical and traditional music, mixed with fantastic opera performances, comedy, culture and terrific Scottish art!
The reopening of Perth Theatre means that the festival has even more in its programme for 2018 which is sure to excite locals and tourists alike. Tickets for the 2018 Perth Festival of the Arts go on sale from Monday 26th March (19th March to Friends of the Festival) at 10AM.
