Fort William Comic Con review .
This was the first time CC had been to Fort William and it enabled people from some of the smaller rural areas to experience an event without having to travel to one of the big cities; which makes a change; especially for those of us with disabilities.
This was my first time attending a CC so can't compare it to anything else, but can honestly say we had a great day. The venue was ok, plenty of car parking and food and drinks were available both at the venue and very close by outside . There were plenty of stalls selling their merchandise; which was of good quality. The celebrities were as you would expect; friendly and chatty. The crew members were great; friendly and helpful. The music was very good and very apt for the area. For me the star of the day was the host Des O'Gorman; he was friendly, knowledgeable, informative, approachable and very funny.
I hope CC returns to the Fort next year.

Was a great day out for the family. My teenagers loved it, my son spent hours in the games room with his friends. I enjoyed looking round the stalls and chatting to the people there. Getting the opportunity to meet and talk to actors from the shows is something we never get in Fort William. I hope there will be another one next year.

Great was a really great day, good to get autographs of the stars traders were great and good value for money, and lots of pics and dress up was a really great day. Costume comp would have been better with prizes for 3rd and 2nd too and categories for made and shop brought separate would have been better as home made cannot compete with professional costumes but great hope they'll be another one, more music to would have been great in between the band to create more of an atmosphere

Review of Fort Con
This was my first Comic con and my daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Everyone was very approachable and friendly. The atmosphere was vibrant and with the band in the background this was truly an experience we hope to repeat. Looking forward to Fort Con 2.

Review of Fort Con
We had a fantastic time at fort con. The venue was ideal for everything, loved the Monster Ceilidh band, the stalls had so many unique, retro and amazing things to see and buy. I'm in awe of the artists who were there, their work is something to behold. The panels were great fun, I particularly enjoyed the comic/books v movies debate. Everyone involved did a wonderful job and targeted the audience well with varied activities and things to see/do. I am recommending to everyone I know and we will definitely be there next year!!

I thought that it was good for what it was, being in Fort William and all, especially for its first year. But you were quickly able to run out of stalls to see or the number of pinball games you would want to play. So for next year they should definitely add some more stalls or events of different variety's to keep up interest.

Great day. It was very well organised with a good atmosphere. Really enjoyed meeting artists and traders. Everyone was very friendly and enthusiastic about their work and being in Fort William. So happy that we didn't have to travel to meet with fellow geeks. We also loved the gaming room, a really great addition. We hope to see this again in 2017! Well done to all the organisers and staff, your hard work paid off.

This was a lovely fun day out and great opportunity to dress up.
10am -6pm was a long stay. We were ready to leave around 1.30pm having gone round the stalls, meeting lots of amazing characters and a quick bite to eat. However, we stuck around for the fancy dress competition at 4.30pm, which was entertaining although I felt there should have been more prizes as some people went all out to make their costumes. I believe holding the fancy dress competition around lunch time would be better, especially for the people that travelled a long distance to reach the venue.
Food onsite was rubbish, hotdogs, pannini or soup. Something more substantial would have been better suited to guests.
The music was nice, very typically Scottish - a variety of musicians would work better as the band took very long breaks leaving an empty atmosphere....

Bit on the small side, but in no way did that take away from the fun of the day. Would love to see it get bigger next year. Host did a great job and staff were very friendly. The stall holders were all really lovely and approachable. Music was great, but the band was supposed to return after a break and did not. Competition was a lot of fun and I didn't feel pressure whilst showing off my costume.
