Review of The Spooky Men's Chorale
Would you recommended: Yes
Excellent, funny and entertaining.
First time at the venue and we really love it. Brilliant atmosphere and great facilities. The Spooky Mens Chorale were amazing!
Review of The Spooky Men\'s Chorale
Really great night in a good venue. Would suggest open food area a bit earlier as people visited from some distance and, arriving early, thought they could eat before the gig.
Spooky Men were fabulous as always - do go and hear them on their tour in next few weeks you won’t regret it.
Inchyra Arts Centre was new to me - a lovely venue with great atmosphere and food. We will be back!

Wonderful venue for the matchingly wonderful Spookymen's Chorale last night.
Everyone associated with this special place and performance had courtesy, good humour and empathy - and brilliant musicianship, of course.
This was our 2nd outing with The Spooky Men and they did not disappoint. The Barn at Inchyra as a venue added to night with excellent acoustics and just big enough to ensure a busy room, but also to allow every one to see and hear a fab show.
Absolutely perfect evening with great music lovely atmosphere and a fantastic location
Sumptuous harmonies , beautifully measured humour and a certain style!
Loved every minute.
Fabulous as always The Spookies have their own unique music genre. Funny, brilliant, mad and beautiful. The music, that is!
First time I'd seen the Spookies but they lived up to their reputation - fine voices, wonderful harmonies and splendidly daft humour.
Great atmosphere in the Byre - I really do prefer an intimate venue for a concert - but glad I managed to get a seat: the benches at the back we thought we'd have to sit on at first would have done my back in!!
Very entertaining night. Spooky men rock
Fantastic funny evening. Great venue which suited the act. Worth every penny. Will definitely try to see the Spooky Men's Chorale when they next come to the area.
Superb musical talent a Capella .
Tremendous diction and observational content.
Never knew what would happen next.
Despite being a small venue it was easy to find, near the A90 but a world away, felt very rural and peaceful. The barn had been done up nicely. An unexpected bonus was the food, it smelled so good I had to have some veggie chilli (yum). Tap water was freely available which was essential on a warm night. The venue was slightly bigger overall than I thought it would be. However, for such a large 'group' the stage was cramped. My only other minor negative was that the benches looked rather hard to sit on, so I expect a cushion might have been useful (I was seated in the table area). I have watched the Spookies on Youtube, but not seen them live before, it was a cracking evening, just felt very short, though that might be due to enjoying it! They did a mix of fun and more serious numbers, with a good variety of styles. The amusing delivery kept non-serious music people (like me) engaged and able to enjoy the singing talent. A lot of people there seemed to know each other, so it much be a popular 'local' venue (local is a loose term in Scotland, still means you need to drive there). The Spookies mixed with the audience during the interval and Stephen (who is the conductor/group leader) is both funny and a friendly guy. They also got the audience up on stage at the end. I recommend both the venue and the Spookies. The Spooky Men's Chorale are great entertainment for all ages and as they come from Oz do catch them on their UK tours, as they don't happen that often. If they play a festival, catch them there, or (my next hope) is to catch them playing in the wonder acoustics of a church. I also recommend the venue for an intimate friendly place to come.
Great concert, superb singing, excellent humour, highly recommended.
Fantastic night out. First time we've seen the Spooky Men but I'm sure it won't be the last. Extremely talented group, funny, musically extraordinary. Venue is a wonderfully understated place. Food delicious and at a very affordable price.
Atmospheric venue, wonderful setting and well-planned. Spooky Men were talented and entertaining with a repertoire which ranged from moving to hilarious.
Fist time at Inchyra, first time hearing The Spooky Men. A wonderful night.
