6 Women on Thursday 25th - Friday 26th October 2018
How like your mother are you? What’s the bravest thing you’ve ever done? What has been your favourite age to be and why? What kind of career’s advice did you get as a young woman? Do you have a life’s motto? What are your hopes for any daughters or young women you know?
Six female actors share real stories of six women, each in a different decade of their lives. The play, by Gaye Poole, is inspired by interviews with women aged between 20 and 90.
UnderConstruction Theatre presents 6 Women, extraordinary stories from ordinary women. Stories of family. Stories about being alone. Stories about hopes and dreams. Moments of doubt; moments of leaps of faith; and everyday moments. Stories of bravery, courage, & defiance. Stories about what it is like to be a woman and how much age changes one’s perspective.
‘Takes you movingly and gently to the heart of what it means to be a woman’ – Audience member
