If you can relate to any of the above or have a friend that can and would like the opportunity to explore comedic performance then this beginner course is for you.
A 6 week comedy course running every Saturday between the hours of 4–6 commencing Saturday March 21st every Saturday until 25th April.. low key friends and family Performance 26th
Learn about, Writing, Timing, Delivery, Working that room, dealing with heckling and more through writing strategies combined with improvisation and fun to unlock your inner comic genius!
By the end of the course you will know the basic principles of comedy and writing.
Confidence to perform and work with various audiences,
Have a 5 minute comedy routine written and delivered by you to friends and guests of all on the course.
You will also be gig ready for openers in clubs, Plus open mic nights ..
This includes course materials, light snacks and refreshment, email assistance answering questions you may have during the course
This course is also CAMHA friendly. If you want to get onboard but feel your mental health or isolation may be restricting you. CAMHA are happy to provide a Gig buddy for the duration of the course ..

Course presented and run by Frog box’s Andy Sloman Camies and Tom Short Tom’s accolades include: Chortle’s student comedian of the year finalist 2019, Funhouse champion of champions 2015, Harrogate comedian of the year finalist 2018, as seen on That’s Manchester TV and heard on BBC Surrey, BBC Manchester and Bliss Radio. Tom Has had extensive experience both on and behind the stage having worked for 3 years in The legendary Frog and Bucket comedy Club (Top 10 best comedy venues in the UK - Guardian). Where he helped them attain numerous awards during his tenure including Chortle’s best club in the north 2015 and CityLife’s best club 2017. He was also in the first class of graduates of Salford Universities Comedy Writing and performance where he was also the first recipient of the Mike Craig Award for excellence within the comedy industry as recognised by the board of governors and committee at Salford university he has recently Been studying his masters in contemporary performance practices to ensure that his insights are razor sharp and up to date for the students of this course and Tom has recently been working on a volunteer basis with Life Rooms UK in Liverpool to provide help with comedy writing practice and performance for those using the service.
