Mother's Day Family Rave Mash up with DJ Peter Parker on Sunday 31st March 2019
THE PLAYHOUSE PROJECT is an exclusive family rave experience. Organised by a crew of ex-ravers and DJ's who are now parents. Aimed at parents that miss their clubbing days...
Following on from the success of our End of Year Rave at the Golden Lion, we are back to celebrate Mother's day. Ditch the flowers and round up your mini crew. This event is for all the underground Mama's & Papa's that like it old skool style. Big beats from scratch DJ Peter Parker (Fingathing). Parker will be dropping classic Hip Hip, Electro & Funk. Expect no style or genre to be left out of this DJ show.
We welcome one of the members of the Broken Glass Street Crew! This original Bboy will be dancing throughout the event and he's has got some serious sick moves. With DJ Peter Parker bring good vibes on the decks, this is not to be missed...
Our aim is to keep the crew dancing by providing free glow sticks, top DJs, dancers, club lighting, visuals, bubble machines, inflatables and giant balloons. When the fun gets too much for the kids there are chill out activities such as craft tables, play doh areas, a chill out area, book corner & face painting. When you need to refuel there are always lovely cake & sweet stalls plus a fully licensed bar
Scratch DJ and music maker Peter Parker’s career started when he came 3rd in the 1997 UK DMC DJ finals, Mark Rae of Manchester's Grand Central label was one of the judges. He quickly snapped up young Parker and enlisted him as tour DJ and band member for the labels various live projects with US and UK producers and MC’s (mostly Rae&Christian LIVE band). Parker soon hooked up with Sneaky, a hugely talented double bass player and the two then went on to form Fingathing, along with visual artist Chris Dury. 20 years later Fingathing now have cult hero status among DJ’s, music heads and art fans for their contributions over the years. They’re currently working on their 4th LP and Parker also does a bi-weekly radio with Manchester crew Battlestar Mancunia’ on Reform radio.
