And Still I Rise Nottingham Showcase on Friday 15th October 2021

Come along to these exciting events and watch creative performances from a selection of 12 different Midlands performers, from Black, African and Caribbean backgrounds. Our previous showcase included art forms ranging from poetry, dance, photography, singing, rapping and motivation talks.

Each artist will use the 'And Still I Rise' theme to channel the resilience and vitality of Maya Angelou's poem. Their performance pieces will express their own experiences of the turbulent times shaped by Black Lies Matter and/ or the disproportionate impact of Covid-19. We are showcasing these pieces as part of Black History Month 2021, at four venues across the Midlands.
