Analysing Pugin on Wednesday 18th September 2019

A unique chance to visit The Creative and Virtual Technologies Lab at Nottingham Trent University for a talk and hands on demonstration of the techniques used to create a 3D model of St Barnabas Cathedral, designed by Augustus Pugin.

Although much of the rich decoration of the Cathedral has been lost over time with reordering and redecorating, there are still traces which invoke the original atmosphere. Nottingham Trent University have been working with the Cathedral to research the work of renowned architect A.W.N. Pugin. This is a special first-hand account of the latest findings and new discoveries. You will also be invited to participate in a participatory map of sacred spaces in Nottingham, where you can exchange local knowledge on these heritage landmarks across the city.

Places are limited, so please book via Eventbrite.
